Throughout the world there is blindness and vision loss, due to lack of spectacle correction. Operation Optikos has partnered with the Lions Club, ophthalmology and optometry offices in the United States, and local eyecare patients to gather glasses. These are  commonly delivered worldwide during cataract surgery expeditions.

After my involvement with several cataract surgical mission expeditions, I realized there was an unmet need for  distributing spectacle glasses around the world. Operation Optikos is a worldwide outreach effort to provide recycled prescription and reading glasses to those in need.
